James followed a suspected affair into a nightclub
Private investigator James returned with another story from his working life.
A husband had hired investigators because he suspected his wife was having an affair. James and his colleagues followed her into a nightclub, where they had to blend in with everyone else while remaining sober enough to work.
Their target eventually kissed another man.
James explained that this did not prove she had been carrying on a long-term affair with that particular person, but it did establish that she had been unfaithful and that her husband’s suspicions had not been entirely unfounded.
The difficult part came afterwards when the investigators had to present their evidence to a client who was understandably devastated by what they had found.
Scott remained fascinated by the profession and wanted to accompany James on a future job.
A producer was going to dinner with Stephen Hawking
One of the show team had previously met Professor Stephen Hawking while in Cambridge.
She had subsequently been contacted by his team and told that Hawking had enjoyed their conversation enough to want to meet again.
That evening she was due to have dinner with him.
The invitation sounded so extraordinary that she initially suspected Scott and Chris had arranged an elaborate prank. They insisted they had nothing to do with it.
Scott won Bangers
The week ended at 2–2, leaving Friday’s caller to decide the result.
Scott offered Pink’s “Most Girls”, while Chris chose N.E.R.D.’s “Rockstar”.
The caller sided with Scott, giving him the week.
