The episode also features the return of the "Matt Damon Game" where callers compete against Beccy. [...]
Chappers announces his departure
Mark Chapman left the Scott Mills programme after around six years with Scott and ten and a half years at Radio 1.
Chappers said he was not retiring. At 36, he wanted to concentrate more seriously on sport and continue working with BBC Sport, Five Live and ESPN.
He also had a football book due the following year, titled Heroes, Hairbands and Hissy Fits.
Scott and Beccy repeatedly framed the departure as though Chappers had died or reached the “winter of his life” [...]
David Gest
David Gest joined Scott ahead of appearing on a celebrity edition of Come Dine with Me.
He said Sherrie Hewson was appearing with him and described her as completely crazy.
Gest claimed he had become a better cook after learning from his cousin Rita from childhood onwards. He then launched into an intentionally outrageous song about Rita leaving teaching and becoming a prostitute.

Beccy takes over the final 15 minutes
During Radio 1’s Access All Areas Week, Scott gave Beccy the final 15 minutes of the programme to demonstrate that ordinary listeners could present their own short show.
The stunt promoted the Christmas Day “Tinsel Takeover”, when 24 listeners would each receive a 15-minute Radio 1 slot between 10am and 4pm.
Beccy introduced herself repeatedly with “Hello”, which she declared to be her catchphrase. She also developed “Watch me now” as a second one after Scot [...]
Jason Manford
Jason Manford joined Scott, Beccy and Chappers while he and Chappers argued good-naturedly about Manchester football.
Manford supported Manchester City and said he sometimes performed charity events connected with the club. He joked that modern players were too young to count as childhood heroes.
Finding his DVD in Tesco
Manford’s first stand-up DVD had recently been released.
He visited Tesco to see how it looked on the shelf and found it at number seven in the chart.
