Nick Grimshaw spoke to a contestant involved in the search for somebody to play Scott in Mills: The Musical.
The audition included questions about Scott and the programme.
After receiving only half a point, the applicant admitted that he might not be a dedicated enough fan and had not spent sufficient time on unofficialmills.co.uk.

American duo 3OH!3 made an extraordinarily short visit to Britain.
They had performed in the United States, flown overnight through New York, landed in London around 9.30am, visited Radio 1 and planned to fly home at 8pm without staying overnight.
They joked that they were collecting enough frequent-flyer miles to travel to the moon.

Avenue Q
Members of the Avenue Q company joined the programme as Mills: The Musical moved towards casting and rehearsals.
They explained how performers operated puppets while remaining visible, how the audience learned to focus on the puppet and how the show combined familiar musical-theatre conventions with adult subjects.
Scott was interested in whether the techniques could help his own Edinburgh show and whether characters from the radio programme might work as puppets.

In Beccy’s Classifieds, Beccy presented genuine adverts whose value came mainly from strange wording, undesirable objects or sellers revealing too much personal information.
The transcript contains a full extended edition, with Scott and Chappers questioning prices, hygiene and why anybody had placed the listings online.
The individual adverts were assessed one by one rather than merely read as a list, continuing the feature’s usual bargain-versus-rubbish format.

John Barrowman
John Barrowman arrived with his parents, Marion and John, who were invited into the studio.
Scott asked Barrowman to demonstrate how his accent changed when speaking to them. Barrowman objected that it was like being told to perform in a zoo, but the switch emerged naturally once his mother joined the conversation.

The ice-cream machine
Scott was shown how to operate a Mr Whippy-style dispenser.
He was told to pull the handle, rotate the cone twice and raise it, but the ice cream immediately ran over his hand and halfway down his arm.
The result clearly did not resemble a professional cone.
The penny machine
Scott then tried a seaside penny-pusher.
His guide debated whether he should slide or jam each coin into the slot and tried to build suspense around five attempts.
